FDLED Series Flameproof Luminaires, manufactured by Appleton ATX, provide hazardous area lighting for applications in petrochemical facilities, oil refineries, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, pulp and paper mills, water treatment and sewage facilities and underground tunnels. This range of flameproof lighting fittings with Ex d explosion protection can be installed in hazardous areas designated as Zone 1 and Zone 2 (Gas) – Zone 21 and Zone 22 (Dust) and are ideal for use in hazardous area locations where a high degree of corrosion resistance is required and for indoor or outdoor use where protection against dirt, water, dust and moisture is necessary.
Flameproof Appleton ATX LED lights are composed of a white powder coated galvanized steel (400 lm version) or aluminium (2400/4725 lm versions) with grey corrosion-resistant paint and an impact resistant borosilicate glass sealed tube.
The flameproof light fittings are supplied with an energy efficient electronic driver on a removable gear tray, one M20 blanking plug, an external and internal ground/earth connection and an O-ring for improved ingress protection (IP66/68).
